The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

The Council met.
Present the Honorable
John Davidson, John H. Stone and Sam'l. T. Wright Esquires.
A Petition from Philip Crawford Pearce of Baltimore County to
the Court of the same County, was laid before the Board, setting
forth that some time past he entered into a Recognizance in the
sum of Twenty pounds for the appearance of a certain Catharine
Green to answer a Presentment against her in the Criminal Court
of said County, and also in another Recognizance in Ten pound for
the Appearance of John Kentsing, and that by the Non appearance
of those Persons, the Petitioner's several Recognizances have been
forfeited and he is now under Execution for the same, And three
of the Justices of Baltimore County aforesaid recommending the
said Philip Crawford Pearce to this Board as a proper Object for
favor, his Family being in very low Circumstances and must suffer
greatly by his being obliged to pay the Sum forfeited by him, The
Board are of Opinion and do order and direct that Twenty seven
pounds part of the Thirty pounds be remitted.

John White, who was nominated by the Board of Treasury Com-
missioner of Accounts from the United States to the State of Mary-
land is approved by this Board and a Certificate of his Qualification
produced.
The Council adjourned till Tuesday 3d. May next.
