Samuel T. Wright Esquires.

Thomas Johnson Jun'r. appointed Deputy Auditor the ist. Instant
is approved and a Certificate of his Qualifications produced and filed.
The Council adjourned 'till Tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Commission issued to George Frazier Hawkins appointed One of
the Coroners for Prince George's County.

A Petition from William Noland of Berkley County in the State
of Virginia, was laid before the Board, setting forth that his Son
Obediah Noland was charged with, and committed to the Jail of
Washington County in the State of Maryland for passing a Counter-
feit Dollar, That anxious for his relief and prompted by the feelings
of a Tender and affectionate Parent, and fondly believing his
innocence, he gave as Security to Mr. Jeremiah Cheney and Mr.
William Chency of Washington County aforesaid (who became
