Wednesday 26th. November 1788

The Honorable John Davidson and

John Kilty Esquires attended.

Thursday 27th. November 1788

The Council met.

Present, the Honorable James Brice

John Davidson

John Kilty Esquires.

His Excellency John Eager Howard Esquire elected Governor,
attended in the Senate room and qualified in Presence of the Members
of the Senate and House of Delegates agreeably to the Constitution
and Form of Government and Laws of this State.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

[p 3] Friday 28th. November 1788

The Council met.

Present His Excellency John Eager Howard Esquire.

The Honorable James Brice

John Davidson

John Kilty Esquires.

Commission issued to Richard Tubman appointed Inspector of
Pomonkey warehouse in Charles County in the room of Philip
Marshall who has resigned.

Thursday the fourth Day of December next is appointed for taking
into Consideration the election of Justices of the Peace for the several
Counties in this State.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Benjamin
Mackall Esquire fifty pounds Current Money for one quarter's salary
as one of the Judges of the Court of Appeals due the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to William Farris thirteen pounds one
shilling and nine pence due him for keeping in repair the State Clocks
at the Government House per Account passed by the Auditor
General.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 29th. November 1788

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Mrs. Ann
Levascher Widow of Lieut. John Levascher fifteen pounds for three
months half pay due the 1st. instant.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday morning.
