Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Cob. John H.
Stone forty two pounds, three shillings and nine pence for three
Months half pay due him the 1st. instant.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 8th. November 1788

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

[p 368] Ordered that the Witnesses attending on the late enquiry
respecting the legality of the Election of Sheriffs for Queen Anne's
County, be allowed the same sum for attendance and for itinerant
Charges as is allowed to Witnesses summoned from the aforesaid
County to attend the General Court on the Western Shore.

Ordered that Mr. John Price and Mr. Joseph Blunt the Petitioners
against the late Election for Sheriffs of Queen Anne's County, pay to
Colo. John Thompson of said County Three pounds ten shillings
Current Money allowed by this Board for one Day's attendance and
six Day's itinerant Charges as a Witness in the Enquiry into the said
Election,

That the said Mr. John Price and Mr. Joseph Blunt pay to Mr.
George Vanderford Three pounds, ten shillings like money as afore-
said,

That the said Mr. John Price and Mr. Joseph Blunt pay to Mr.
Charles Vanderen Three pounds, ten shillings like money as afore-
said,

That the said Mr. John Price and Mr. Joseph Blunt pay to Mr.
Robert Wilson Three pounds ten shillings like Money as aforesaid,

That the said Mr. John Price and Mr. Joseph Blunt pay to Capt.
James Bruff Three pounds, ten shillings like money as aforesaid,

That the said Mr. John Price and Mr. Joseph Blunt pay to Mr.
George Jackson Three pounds, ten shillings like money as aforesaid.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to His Excellency
Governor Smallwood five pounds, twelve shillings and six pence for
the like sum paid by him for 26 Sconces and 18 Hat pins for the use
of the Government House as per Receipts produced.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning.

Monday 10th. November 1788

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.
