That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Johnson junr. fifty
pounds for one quarters Salary as Clerk of the Council the 1st.
instant.
Commission issued to Thomas Gist appointed Surveyor of Balti-
more County in the room of George Goldsmith Presbury resigned.
[p 364] William Loveday of Talbot County resigns his Com-
mission as one of the Coroners of the said County.
This Board having pursuant to their Order of the 21st. October
last, entered into the Enquiry of the Charges contained in the Petition
of John Price and Joseph Blunt respecting the Election of Sheriffs for
Queen Anne's County, and having heard the parties by their Counsel
and the Testimony adduced by them respectively, and having fully
considered the same are of Opinion the said Charges are not sup-
ported and that the Petition aforesaid ought to be rejected and this
Board do accordingly order that the same be rejected and that the
said Petitioners pay all Costs which have arisen in Consequence
thereof.
Commission issued to Jonathan Seney elected Sheriff of Queen
Anne's County.
John Thompson, George Vanderford, Charles Vanderen, Robert
Wilson, Capt. James Bruff and George Jackson proved One Day's
attendance each, as Witnesses in the Hearing of the Complaint
against the Election for Sheriffs of Queen Anne's County, and are
allowed Six Days each Itinerant Charges.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

[p 365] Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to
Thomas Johnson junr. Twenty five pounds, eight shillings and ten
pence due him per Account passed by the Aud'r. General,
That the said Treasurer pay to Jub Fowler Thirteen pounds, fifteen
shillings for one quarters Salary as Messenger of the Council and
Keeper of the Stadt house due the 1st. instant,
That the said Treasurer pay to James Brice Esquire Thirty one
pounds five shillings for one quarter's Salary as a Member of the
Council,
