Tuesday 12th. April 1785

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Paca Esqr. Governor.

The Honorable

Aquila Paca, John Davidson, John H. Stone and Sam'l. T. Wright
Esquires.

By the Petition of Robert Dunwoodie it appears that he obtained
a License for a Tavern in Baltimore, and finding the House he then
lived in, inconvenient he removed to another, where he continued
to sell Liquors, That he has paid the Taxes imposed on him in Balti-
more and complied with the Requisitions of the Law known to him
or required of him, that he has been prosecuted in Baltimore County
Court for selling Liquors without License, [p 31] that he
submitted his Case to the said Court, who did not conceive themselves
at Liberty to remit his fine. These Facts being Subscribed to by five
of the Magistrates, We therefore think proper to order a Remission
of the fine imposed on the said Dunwoodie.

Signed
Aql. Paca
J. H. Stone
John Davidson
Sam T. Wright
