fifty pounds, Current Money, in part of one hundred and twenty six
pounds, due him for his Attendance in Congress as per Account
passed by the Auditor General.

That the said Treasurer pay to David Ross Esquire
twenty six pounds current money in part of one hundred and twenty
six pounds due him for his Attendance in Congress as per Account
passed by the Auditor General.

That the said Treasurer pay to John Davidson Esquire,
eighteen pounds, fifteen shillings, Current money; for one quarters
salary, as a Member of the Council due the first Instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Alexander Contee Han-
son Esquire, one hundred and twenty five pounds, current money

for one quarters salary as one of the Judges of the General Court

due the first Inst.

That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Goldsborough
Esquire One hundred and twenty five pounds current money for
one quarters salary, as one of the Judges of the General Court due
the first Instant,

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Thomas D.
Merrick seven pounds ten shillings Current Money for one quarters
Salary as Clerk of the Court of Appeals due the first Instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to John Rogers Esquire One
hundred and eighty seven pounds ten shillings current money, for one
quarters Salary as Chancellor, due the first Instant.

So end the proceedings

[p 277] The General Assembly of Maryland on Thursday the
twenty second Day of November 1787 having Unanimously rechosen
William Smallwood Esquire Governor, He Qualified the same Day
in the Senate room in the presence of the Members of the General
Assembly, by taking the several Oaths required by the Constitution
and Form of Government, and the Laws of this State, and by sub-
scribing a Declaration of his Belief in the Christian Religion.

On Friday following, the twenty third Day of November in the
same year, the General Assembly proceeded to the choice of the
Council to the Governor when Jeremiah Townly Chase, James Brice,
John Kilty, John Davidson and Benjamin Harrison Esquires were
elected.
