Thirty pounds, five shillings and ten pence due him per Account
passed by the Auditor General for Stationary found the General
Assembly.
In Council June 4th. 1787
By the Petition of Adam Markley junr. of Frederick County it
is set forth that some time before March Court 1784 he was recog-
nized for his appearance on Account of an Assault and Battery, that
he attended agreeably to the tenor of his said Recognizance but his
Adversary did not appear to prosecute, that at August Court follow-
ing his family being very Sickly and himself not very well he was un-
able to attend whereby his Recognizance became forfeited, that he at-
tended at November Court and was fined three pounds which he paid
and thought the matter entirely settled 'till lately the Sheriff called on
him for ten pounds the forfeiture of his Recognizance; he therefore
prays a Remission of the said forfeiture, And three of the Justices
of the said County having certified the truth of the facts set forth
by the said Petitioner, The Board upon Consideration of all the
Circumstances do hereby order and direct the said forfeited Recog-
nizance of ten pounds to be, and it is hereby remitted.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Joseph Robey
late a Soldier of the Maryland line Five pounds and ten pence balance
of five Months pay due him between the 1st. August 1780 and 1st.
January 1781 per Certificate of Auditor General.
