The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Tuesday 8th. May 1787

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

The Hon'ble. James Brice

James Hindman

John Davidson Esquires.

Commission issued to William Taylor appointed One of the
Coroners of St. Mary's County.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Henry Ennalls
Twenty five pounds, three shillings and five pence specie agreeably
to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" on his lodging
a Bond in the penalty of treble the Sum to indemnify the State
against an Order issued on the 23d. Ultimo (of which this is a
Duplicate) and which is alledged by Mr. Archibald Patterson, to
whom the Order was delivered, to have been lost by him, due him
the Said Henry Ennalls per Account passed by the Auditor General
the 1st. Ulto.

The Honorable John Kilty Esquire attended.

The Council adjourned 'till Thursday 11 o'clock.

Thursday 10th. May 1787

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

The Hon'ble. James Brice

James Hindman

John Kilty

John Davidson Esquires.

[p 230] Commission issued to Henry Ayton appointed Inspector
of Mouth of Conococheague Creek Warehouse in Washington
County.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to John Davidson
Esquire Eighteen pounds, fifteen shillings for One quarter's Salary
as a Member of the Council.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.
