The Board proceeded to fix the Salary of the Armorer at Frederick
Town, when One hundred and twenty five pounds per Annum was
proposed and agreed to for the present year ending the sixth of May
next for his superintending, and working at the said Armory.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Thursday 28th. December 1786

Friday 29th. December 1786

The Council met.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to John Petty &
Co. Fifteen pounds, sixteen shillings and nine pence for paper pur-
chased of them for the use of the public per Account passed by the
Auditor General.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Saturday 30th. December 1786

The Council met.

Present the Hon'ble. James Hindman, John Kilty and John David-
son Esquires.

[p 194] Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to
Lazarus Maddux Twenty two pounds, four shillings and two pence
specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State"
for pay due himself and Militia under his Command per Accounts
passed by the Auditor General the 1st. of June 1785.

The Honorable James Brice Esquire attended.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Samuel Maffitt
Sixty pounds, sixteen shillings and three pence Current Money for
surveying Lands in Caecil County per Account passed by the Auditor
General.

Mr. Samuel Maffitt of Caecil County is hereby appointed an Addi-
tional Surveyor to complete the Surveys of the reserve Lands in
Caecil County aforesaid in Virtue of An Act entitled "An Act ascer-
taining the mode of granting Titles to the Purchasers of certain
Confiscated Property."

The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning 11 o'clock.
