such length of time as they may want it at the rate of twelve pounds
ten shillings per Month.
[p 129] Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to
Jonathan Long Six pounds, Eight shillings and four pence specie
agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" per
Account passed by the Aud'r. Gen'l.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Ashton Senr. One hundred
and fifty pounds, two shillings and seven pence specie agreeably to the
"Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" per Certificates
liquidated by the Aud'r. Gen'l, the 2d instant.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jacob Bond Twenty three pounds
fourteen shillings and six pence and to Henry Wilson Eighty six
pounds, nineteen shillings six pence specie agreeably to the "Act to
adjust the Debts due from this State" per Certificates adjusted by
the Aud'r. General to the 1st. instant.
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry Ridgely for the use of
Benjamin Nicholson One hundred and twenty five pounds Current
Money for half a Years Salary as Judge of the Court of Admiralty
to the 1st. Instant.
Commission issued to Nathan Brown appointed Inspector at
Brownes Warehouse in Queen Anne's County in the room of William
Caradine who hath resigned.
Ordered that the Clerk of the Council do on every application for
Final Settlement Certificates, resort for information to the Auditor
General who is requested to examine into the right of the Person
claiming, and to furnish the Clerk with his Opinion in writing
thereon, which if it confirms the Claim shall authorize the Clerk
to deliver the Certificates; taking receipts for the same in the Form
heretofore practiced by the Agent.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

The Council met.
Present as on Yesterday.
The Board agreeably to the direction contained in the Act of the
last Session of Assembly entitled "An Act for the relief of the
Widows of such Officers of this State who died in the Continental
Service" on the Application of Mrs. Ann Lavacher the Widow of
Lieutenant John Levacher who died in the service of the United
States, have enquired into her Circumstances, and finding them such
as to require the full Benefit of the said Act do Resolve [p 130]
that the said Mrs. Levacher shall agreeably to the Terms, and from
the passing of the said Act being the eighth Day of March 1786 be
entitled to receive in quarterly Payments the sum of Sixty pounds
