[p 123] Tuesday 2d. May 1786

His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.
The Honorable James Brice

John Kilty Esquires attended.

William Paca Esqr. elected a Member of the Council in the room
of Gabriel Duvall Esqr. who hath resigned attended and qualified
by taking the several Oaths required by the Constitution and Laws of
this State, making, repeating and subscribing a Declaration of his
Belief in the Christian Religion, and producing a Certificate thereof,
took his Seat.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to James Brice
and John Kilty Esquires, each, Fifty pounds Current Money for One
Quarters Salary as Members of the Council.

That the said Treasurer pay to Alexander Contee Hanson Esqr.
One hundred and twenty five pounds Current Money for One
Quarter's Salary as One of the Judges of the General Court ending
the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to John Rogers Esqr. Two hundred
and twelve pounds, ten shillings Current Money for One Quarters
Salary as Chancellor and Judge of the Land Office ending the 1st.
Instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Jub Fowler Thirty seven pounds,
ten shillings Current Money for half a Year's Salary as Messenger
to the Governor and Council ending the 1st. instant, and also the
further Sum of Three pounds, ten shillings and nine pence like money
for taking care of the Stadt house to the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas D. Merrick Fifteen pounds
for half a years Salary as Clerk to the Court of Appeals ending 1st.
instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to John Hartshorn one of the Sur-
veyors appointed by the late Intendant to Survey part of Talbots
Manor Fifty pounds to be by him applied to the Payment of Chain
carriers and Accounted for.

David Clark of Harford County and Thomas Gist and James
Calder of Baltimore County are hereby appointed Surveyors to com-
pleat the Surveys of the Reserve lands in Baltimore and Harford
Counties in Virtue of an Act entitled "An Act ascertaining the Mode
of granting Titles to the Purchasers of certain Confiscated Property".
[p 124] Commissions issued to the following Persons appointed
Inspector for

Prince George's County

Queen Anne's Ware house George Hilleary and Joseph W. Clagett
Upper Marlbro' Charles Clagett and Benjamin Brookes
