seven farthings p pound for tobacco, itt not appearing so to us we
thinke itt reasonable & fitt to allow for the said Goods Six farthings
p pound for tobacco, so that John Edmondson for that particuler is
indebted three thousand two hundred Eighty six pounds of tobacco
So that upon ballance of Accompts between the said Thomas Legg &
the said John Edmondson we humbly report to your Hono" that
we finde the said John Edmondson indebted unto the said Thomas
Legg the just sume of Nine thousand nine hundred Eighty & two
pounds of tobacco We likewise thinke fitt that John Edmondson
pay twelve hundred Seventy eight pounds of tobacco being part of
the charges of two severall meetings upon his accompt In testimony
whereof we haue hereunto sett our hands & affixed our Seales the

Honble Charles &c: Anoq Doni 1678.

Now here att this day to witt the Eleventh day of October in the
third yeare of the Dominion of Charles Lord Baltemore &c Anoq
Doni 1678. cometh as well the said plaintiffe as the said Defendt by
their Attorneys aforesaid And the aforegoing report of the Auditors
aforesaid being read & heard the Defendt made itt appeare to the
Court here that he hath paid unto the plaintiffe ffive thousand six
hundred forty eight pounds of tobacco more then is menconed in the
Report aforesaid in part of satisfaction of the debt which being
allowed of by the Court Itt is considered that the said Thomas Legg
recover against the said John Edmondson the sume of ffoure thou-
sand three hundred thirty foure pounds of tobacco due upon the
ballance of the Accompts aforesaid As also Eleven hundred & twenty
pounds of tobacco costs of suite And the Defendt in mercy &c

men greeting Whereas John Atkey late of Calvert

County was Sumoned to Answer unto Robert Edmonds of a plea
that he render unto him his reasonable accompt of the tyme that he
was Receiver of the Goods Mrchandizes and tobacco of the said
Robert Now so farr itt is proceeded in our Provinciall Court that
the said John render unto the said Robert Edmonds his reasonable
accompt of the tyme he was Receiver of the Goods Mrchandizes &
tobacco of him the said Robert Wee doe hereby Authorize & appoint
you the said Samuel & Richard Auditors to Audite state & examine
the Accompts of the said John Atkey which to render to the said
Robert he ought And that you meet att such tyme & place as to you
shall seem meet And that the said parties doe then & there attend
