Comand was given to the Sheriffe of Somrsett
County, that he should Attach any the Goods or
Chatties of John Longden if they should be found in
his bailywick to the Value of thirty three pounds

nine shillings sterling And when he had the same so Attached or any
part thereof the same in his custody to keep, untill the said John
Longden should by himselfe or his Attorney appeare here the third
day of June in the fourth yeare of the Dominion of Charles Lord
Baltemore &c Annoq Doni 1679 to Answer unto Robert Ridgely
gentt one of the Attorneys of this Court who for the said Lord
Propry in this behalfe Prosecuteth in a plea of trespas upon the case
On which said third day of June in the yeare aforesaid the same
Sheriffe made returne of the writt afforesaid, that by vertue thereof
he hath Attached all the Goods & Chatties in his bailywick belong-
ing to the said John Longden which he hath caused to be valued &
appraised by John Osborne & Stephen Horsey good & lawfull men
of his bailywick, who Appraise the same att Seventeen pounds fiue
shillings & Eight pence A Schedule of which is annexed to the said
writt under the hands of the said Appraisers, other Goods & Chatties
of the said John Longden he could not finde in his bailywick
An Inventory of what Goods was showed to us as we were
appointed by Cap Thomas Walker & Sworne Appraisers by
Colonell Wm Coleborne, which said Goods was shewed as be-
longing to Mr John Longden Marriner of Hull in England this
23th of May 1679.
