670 Appendix. Liber P.C. R. Uppon motion made in Court. whither Mr George Goodrick Ad mistrator to Capt Willm Lewis Estate, shall haue his whole Claime of ffiue thowsand pownds of Tob payd him, according to [o]rder of Court 6th Octob. 1658. or to bee allowed Proportionally amon [C]redrs. And it being alleaged yt . . . (if not all) of that Clayme was for ifees, & dyett expendd . . . & other Courts of this Province p. 320 To the honble the Gouenor & Councell. The humble Pet” of John Norwood Sheweth. That whereas there are seuerall summes of Tob due unto yor Petr for the apprehending & imprisoning of Certaine persons called Quakers. besides the great paynes & trouble wch yor Petr hath under gone, & ye great losse & hinderance wch hee hath susteyned in his owne private occasions for wch as yett hee hath receaued noe satisfaction May it please therefore yor honrs to take ye premises into yor serious ConsideraOns, that there may bee a way propounded wherby yor Petr may haue some releife & satisfaction according as yor honrs shall thinke fitt And yor Petr as in dutie bound shall pray &c: Ordered that this Petn be referred to Grall Assembly. Uppon motion of his Lps Receiuer Generall, for an Attatchmt agst the Estate of Capt Miles Cooke, who denyed to pay or satisfy the accustomed duties according to Act of Assembly. Ordered yt hee haue Attatchmt for three thowsand pownds of Tob according to ye Act. & ailso for Eleuen pownds, thirteene shillings foure pence sterl. Whereas Capt Sampson Wavring & James Veitch tooke out At tatchmt agst ye Estate of Capt Willm Mitchell deceased. Returneable this Court And ye Court being ready to breake up, & ye consent of ye ptfs. It is Ordered that ye Attatchmt bee continued: & ye Cause Respited till the next Prouvinciall Court. Court dissolued by ye Gouernor And appoynted ye next Provinciall Court to bee held att New Towne on St Maries County one ye last Tuesday in ye month of ffebruary following.
