190       Provincial Court Proceedings, 1673.

         Liber M M  assignes and eury of them doth Covenaut promise and grant To and
                 with the said James Williams his heyres and assignes by these prsents
                 That he the said Thomas Carleton his heyres Exrs Admrs & assignes
                 and eury of them and all and eury other pson & psons & their heyres
                 Lawfully Claymeing from by or under him the said Thomas Carleton
                 shall & will from tyme to tyme and at all tymes hereafter upon the
                 resonable Request to be made by the said James Williams his heyres
                 & assignes. unto the said Thomas Carleton his Executors and Admin
                 istrators Doe make Acknowledge Leavey Execute and suffer or
                 cause to be made Done Acknowledged Leavyed Executed and suff red
                 unto the sayd James Williams his heyres and Assignes and to his
                 and their only use All and eury such further and other Reasonable
                 Act & Acts Thing & Things Device & devices in the Law whatsoeur
                 for the better and further Assureance & sure Makeing of all & singu
                 ler the Land & prmisses aforesayd with the Appurtenances unto the
                 said James Williams his heyres and assignes According to the true
                 intent & meaneing of these prsents as by the C'ouncell Learned in the
                 Law of him the said James Williams his heyres & assignes shalbe
                 Reasonably Devised Advised or required And at the proper costs and
                 charges in the Law of him the said James Williams his heyres &
                 ass ignes Be it by ffeoffment Deed or Deedes Enrolled or not En
             p. 127 rolled Inroilment of these prsents ffine or ffines Recoury Or Re
                 coueryes, with single or Double Voucher or Vouchers Release Con
                 firmation or otherwise with Warranty as afforesd or only against him
                 & Elizabeth his wife his heyres Executors & Adminrs or without
                 warranty. which said further Assurance & Assurances & eury of
                 them shalbe and Enure and shalbe had and taken Reputed Deemed
                 Adjudged & Construed to be & Enure To and for the only use &
                 behoofe of the said James Williams his heyres and assignes for
                 euer. And to & for none other use Intent or purpose whatsoeuer.
                 In Wittnesse whereof the partyes first aboue Named to these prsent
                 Indentures Interchangably haue putt & sett their hands & seales Dated
                 the day & yeare first aboue written 1673.

                   On the backside of the forgoeing Deed was written as followeth
                 Sealed & Deliuered in
                   the prsence of Thomas Marsh
                           Geo:    Parker.
                                       Provll Court febrary: 13th 1673.
                   Then did the within Named Thomas Carleton Acknowledge the
                 within Mentioned Conveyance of One Thowsand Acres of Land
                 Called Churtsey in Calvert County to the within written James
                 Williams his heyres & Assignes To be his Voluntary Act & Deed.
