No. 4 An Act directing a Copy of the last Will and Testament of Brigadier
General Bouquet to be recorded in the Prerogative Office of this
Province and for Other Purposes therein mentioned
Whereas Colonel Frederick Haldimand by his Petition to the
present General Assembly of this province hath set forth that
Brigadier General Henry Bouquet late deceased did at Philadelphia
in the Province of Pensylvania on the Twenty fifth day of June in
the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty five
in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing in due form of
Law executed constitute and Appoint the said Colonel Frederick
Haldimand his Heir or Executor and did give and bequeath unto
him the said Frederick Haldimand all and every thing which he
might die possessed of in North America without Exception upon
Condition of paying all his the said deceased's just Debts and
Legacies and among other things his Lands tenements and Heredi-
taments in this Province and directed thereby the Tract of Land
called Long Meadow enlarged Scituate in Frederick County in this
Province to be sold with the Saw Mill Tan Yard Houses Tenements
and Appurtenances for the Payment of his the said Deceasd's
Debts and Legacies as by a Copy of the said last Will and Testa-
ment certified by Benjamin Chew Esquire Register General for
the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in
and for the Province of Pensylvania doth appear the original
Will aforesaid now being and remaining registered and recorded
in the office of the said Register General and Whereas in the said
Petition it is also set forth that in as much as the aforesaid original
Will is lodged and deposited in the Office of the aforesaid Register
General in Pensylvania the said Petitioner may be laid under some
Difficulty in complying with and executing the Intent and Purpose
of the said Will unless the Same be removed by an Act of Assembly

of this Province Vesting all the Estate right title and Interest which
Was vested in and belonged unto the aforesaid Henry Bouquet
deceased both at Law and Equity into and of all Lands tenements
& Hereditaments in this Province with their Appurtenances in the
Said Frederick Haldimand according to the true intent and Mean-
ing of the aforesaid Henry Bouquet in his aforesaid Last Will
