Upper House of Assembly/ Referred to the Consideration of the
Lower House of Assembly
M.r Grahame brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker a Bill En-
tituled a Supplementary Act to the Act Entituled an Act for the
Speedy Tryal of Criminals and ascertaining their Punishment in
the County Courts when Prosecuted there and for payment of
fees due from Criminal Persons Which was read the first time
and Ordered to lye on the Table
John Ridout Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to M.r Speaker
the Bill Entituled an Act for relief of certain Prisoners for Debt
in the several County Goals therein mentioned. Indorsed By the
Upper House of Assembly 23.d May 1766
Read the third time and with the Amendments hereto made
will Pass

Which Bill was Read here and Passed for Ingrossing
the Petition of Cap:' William M.cLelan and Cap.t John Vulga-
mot was Read the Second time and Rejected
On Motion the House took into Consideration the Services Per-
formed on the Frontiers of this Province by Captains William
M.cLelan and John Vulgamot the last Campaign, and Resolved
that Cap.t William M.cLelan be Allowed the Sum of £200. and that
Cap.t John Vulgamot be allowed the Sum of One hundred Pounds
in Compensation of all Services done by them and that those Allow-
ances be inserted in the List of Debts which accrued on Account
of the late War
The House Adjourns till the morrow morning at 8 of the Clock

May 24

Saturday 24.th May 1766

The House met.
All the Members Appeared as Yesterday Except M.r Harris
M.r Allen M.r Tyler and M.r Selby
On Reading the 2.d time the Petition of Lieut:t Burr Harrison
the same was Granted and the Petitioner allowed £80. Ordered
that the said Allowance be inserted in the List of Debts that Ac-
crued on Account of the late War
On Reading the Petition of ffrederick Haldimand the Second
time the Question was put that the said Petition be Granted.
Resolved in the Affirmative
