The house concurs with the foregoing report; and ordered that
the committee appointed to make said report, do prepare and bring
in a bill accordingly.
On motion, leave given to bring in a bill to promote and forward
the appeal now depending between the lord proprietary and the
people of this province. Ordered that M.r Murdock, M.r Johnson,
M.r Hall, M.r Ringgold, M.r Hollyday M.r M Tilghman, M.r Jennings
and M.r Chase do prepare and bring in the same.
On reading the second time, the petition of John Hammond Dor-
sey; resolved that the same be taken into consideration on Friday
the tenth day of this instant
Ordered that Daniel Chamier, the sheriff of Baltimore County,
have notice given him by the serjeant at arms, to attend the hearing of
the said petition; and that the clerk do make out a copy of this order,
and of the petition to be sent to the sheriff
Ordered that the clerk do make out all such summonses as shall
be applied for by any of the parties
Samuel Chamberlaine esquire from the upper house delivers to
M.r speaker the petition of Edward Bromwell of Talbot County; the
petition of sundry inhabitants of Dorchester County; the petition
of Elizabeth Walls of Annapolis; and the petition of Spedding
Bromwell of Talbot County; thus indorsed: "June 1.st 1768: Read
and referred to the consideration of the lower house of assembly

Which petitions were severally read here, the first time and ordered
to lie on the table.
The house adjourns till to morrow morning 9 o'clock

Thursday June 2.d

The house met according to adjournment. The members were
called, and all appeared as on yesterday.
The proceedings of yesterday were read. M.r Hayward and M.r
Buchannan have leave of absence 'til Monday next
Samuel Chamberlaine esquire from the upper house delivers to
M.r speaker the following message.
By the upper house of assembly June 2.d 1768.
Gentlemen,
We herewith send you copies of two letters laid before this house
by Samuel Chamberlaine esquire, naval officer of Oxford, and colonel
