That Mess.rs John Ridgley, Thomas Cockey Deye, John Moale and
Robert Adair, are returned as delegates of Baltimore County; but
the names of the subscribing electors are not inserted in the body
of the indentures.
That Mess.rs Josias Beall, Robert Tyler, William Murdock and
Francis Waring are returned as delegates of Prince Georges County,
but the names of the subscribing electors are not inscribed in the

body of the indentures, and the sheriff and the electors are nf the

one part, and the delegate of the other in each of the indentures.
That Mess.rs John Veazy, William Ward, William Baxter, and
Henry Baker are returned as delegates of Caecil County; but that
the words of their indentures impowering them to act, are as follow
viz.t "full and sufficient power for themselves and the whole com-
monality of the same County, to do, and consent to those things
which shall happen to be brought and laid before the said assembly,
upon the business and affairs to be transacted," which words your
committee apprehend are not agreeable to the directions of the writ.
That Mess.rs William Luckett, Thomas Cresap, Joseph Chapline,
and Thomas Jennings, are returned as delegates of Frederick County;
but the names of the subscribing electors are not inserted in the body
of the indentures. Which is humbly submitted to the consideration
of your honorable house.

M.r Joseph Hanson Harrison, a delegate returned for Charles
County appeared in the house
Ordered that M.r Smallwood and M.r Ware do go with the gentle-
man to the upper house to see him qualified; They return and acquaint
M.r speaker they saw him qualified in the usual manner.
The gentleman took his seat in the house. The house adjourn'd
'til 2. o'clock.
Post Meridiem. The house met according to adjournment. M.r
Ridgley, M.r Moale, and M.r Baxter appeared in the house.
On motion, leave given to bring in a bill, for the adjournment of
Talbot, Caecil, and Baltimore County courts: Ordered that M.r
Hayward, M.r Bordley and M.r Hall do prepare and bring in the
same.
On motion leave given to bring in a bill to prevent the evils arising
from the manumission of slaves. Ordered that M.r M Tilghman,
M.r Hollyday, M.r Dickinson, M.r N. Thomas and M.r Hayward
do prepare and bring in the same.
On motion, leave given to bring in a bill for the better regulation
of the sheriffs office, and further advancement of justice within this
province. Ordered that M.r Bordley, M.r Johnson, M.r Chase, M.r
Paca and M.r Jennings do prepare and bring in the same.

On motion, leave given to bring in a bill for the relief of the
