It Appears to your Committee from the Oath of Thomas Schley
that on the 14:th day of April Anno Domini Seventeen hundred
and Sixty two a Contract was made between the said John Jeremiah
Myer and Dan:l Davis that the said Daniel Davis should Convey
unto the said John Jeremiah Myer a fee Simple Estate of a Lot or
Portion of Ground lying and being in the First Street in Frederick
Town Joining on the West side to John Lingenfelder with all the
Buildings and Profits Whatsoever on the said Lot containing Sixty
feet for Breadth and three hundred and Ninty three feet in Length
more or less, And that the said John Jeremiah Myer should pay
to the said Daniel Davis the Sum of Six hundred and fifty Pounds
Pensylvania Money for the same In Pursuance of which contract
the said Daniel Gave his Bond to the said John Jeremiah Myer dated
the day and Year aforesaid in the Penalty of thirteen hundred
Pounds Current Money of Maryland for the Conveyance of the
same which Bond Appearing to be duly executed was laid before
your Committee
It also Appears by the Oath of the said Schley that the Lot or
Parcel of Ground as described in the said Bond Includes and was
intended to Include part of the Lot N:o 39 and part of the Lot
N.o 38 mentioned in the Petition it Appears further by the same
Oath that the said Daniel Davis himself Settled the same due on
his Mortgage to Daniel Dulany Esq:r to four hundred and Seventy
five Pounds in Gold and Silver according to the Forms of the
Inspection Act which Sum the said John Jeremiah Myer Passed his

Bond with Security to Daniel Dulany at the request and by the
direction of the said Daniel Davis and was to be accounted a pay-
ment of so much of the Six hundred and ffifty Pounds aforesaid
It Appears further by the Oath of the said Schley that at the
time of the Contract aforesaid that the said Daniel Davis was
Indebted by Bond unto the said John Jeremiah Myer in the Sum
of One hundred and ffifty Pounds Maryland Money And that it was
then Agreed between the Parties aforesaid that the same should be
Accounted as part of the Sums to be given for the Lot or Parcel
of Ground aforesaid which Bond Appearing also to be duly Exe-
cuted was laid before your Committee
It Appears to your Co'mmittee that Daniel Davis died about the
last of June last Intestate having three Daughters only of the
Age Set forth in the Petition
All which is Humbly Submitted to the Consideration of the
Honble House

Which was read the first and Second time and the House concurs
therewith
the Petition of the said John Jeremiah Myer was read and leave
given to the Petitioners to bring in a Bill conformable to the Report
aforesaid
