as aforesaid all which facts have been proved to be true had prayed
than an Act may be passed for the purpose of Ascertaining his
Name in all time to come and to prevent any Inconvenience or
Injury to himself or others by the indiscriminate use of the name
of John Beale Bordley or Beale Bordley heretofore

Be it Therefore Enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Pro-
prietary by and with the Advice and consent of his Lordships Gov-
ernor and by the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly and the
Authority of the same that the said John Beale Bordley in all times
to come take upon himself, be called and known by the name of John
Beale Bordley according to his Christian name aforesaid and that all
powers, Trusts Gifts, Grants, Wills, Deeds, Contracts and purchases
heretofore made by or to the aforesaid John Beale Bordley in or by
the name of John Beale Bordley or Beale Bordley be firm and Valid
to all Intents and purposes whatever as if the said John Beale
Bordley had been therein rightly named and that all Proceedings in
Law or Equity by or against the said John Beale Bordley heretofore
had and prosecuted in or by the Name of Beale Bordley be and have
equal force and effect as if the said John Beale Bordley had been
therein rightly named and that there shall and may be such further
proceeding thereupon had as if the said John Beale Bordley had been
therein named and called by his proper name of John Beale Bordley
any Law Statute or Custom to the Contrary Notwithstanding

No. 24 An Act for Amending and repairing the publick Roads in Baltimore
County

Whereas it is found by Experience that the Provision made by the
Laws now in being is inadequate to the purposes of amending and
maintaining the public Roads in Baltimore County

[Preamble]

Be it therefore Enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Pro-
prietary by and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordships Gov-
ernor and the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly and the
Authority of the same that the Justices of the said County Court
shall and may at their County November Court in every Year during
the Continuance of this Act nominate and by Warrant appoint such
and so many good and Sufficient men of Substance and Credit
neither of whom being a Justice of the Peace as they shall think fit
to be overseers of the Public Roads in the said County in such
