and levy the same in the same manner that other Parish Assessments
are by Law directed to be Levied and Collected and the said Tobacco
when Collected according to each years equal Assessment shall be
paid to the Vestrymen and Church Wardens of the said parish

And whereas a rising piece of ground at the West entrance into
Villets old Fields near the main road that leadeth from Bryon Town
to Benedict is represented by the Petitioners to be the most convenient
situation for erecting the said Chapel on

ing a
Chapel]

Be it Therefore further Enacted by the Authority aforesaid that
the Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens or the Major part of
them are hereby Authorized and Impowered to purchase out of the
Tobacco hereby Granted One Acre of Land in the said old Fields
situate in that place which they may Judge most Convenient for
erecting and building the said Chapel upon and which one Acre
when purchased shall be and remain to and for the use of the
Parish aforesaid for ever

tional duty of Two pounds per poll on all Negroes imported into
this Province

Years, &a]

Be it Enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary by
and with the Advice and consent of his Lordships Governor and
the Upper and Lower houses of Assembly and the Authority of
the same That an Act of Assembly of this Province entituled an
Act for imposing an additional duty of two pounds per poll on all
Negroes Imported into this Province made at a Session of As-
sembly begun and held at the City of Annapolis the fourth day of
October seventeen hundred and sixty three be and is hereby Con-
tinued and shall remain and be in full fforce for and during the
Term of seven years and to the end of the next Session of Assembly
which shall happen after the end of the said seven years
