The House met
All appeared as Yesterday, except M.r Allen, Capt. Selby, M.
Lecompte, and M.r Tyler
The Bill, entitled, An Act of Gratitude to the Right Honourable
William Pitt, Earl of Chatham, and the Right Honourable Charles
Pratt, Lord Cambden, was read the second Time, and will pass; and
was sent to the Upper House, by T. Johnson, Esq and Col. Henry.
The Bill, entitled, An Act for the Relief of several languishing
Prisoners, &.ta was read the second Time, Passed; and was sent to
the Upper House, by Capt. Cockey Deye, and M.r Sothoron.
M.r Fielder Gantt, brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, the
Bill, entitled, An Act impowering the Justices of Frederick County,
to levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of said County, a Quantity of
Tobacco, for building a Stone Wall around the public Prison. Which
was read the first Time, and ordered to lye on the Table.
The Petition of the Subscribers, Merchants, and others, In-
habitants of the Town of Baltimore, in Baltimore County; Was
read the second Time, and Leave given to bring in a Bill as
prayed for
Ordered, That M.r J. Hall, of Baltimore, D Wolstenholme, T.
Johnson, S. Chase Esq.rs M.r Lee, and M.r F. Gantt, do prepare
and bring in a Bill accordingly.
The Bill, entitled, a Supplementary Act to the Act, entitled, An
Act to prevent the Mischiefs arising from the Multiplicity of useless
Dogs, and other Purposes therein mentioned: Was read the second
Time, and the Question was put, that the said Bill do pass? Re-
solved in the Affirmative
