Which was read the first Time and Ordered to lye on the Table
The House adjourns until 2, of the Clock.

Post Meridiem,
The House met.
The Order of the Day being read, the House took in further
Consideration the Petition of the Inhabitants of Baltimore Town,
in Baltimore County; and, on hearing Council at the Bar, and the
Allegations and ffacts contained therein, this House is of Opinion,
that the Facts set forth are true, and that the Marsh mentioned in
the Petition, is a Nusance, and that this House will endeavour to
remedy the same. And Ordered, That a further Consideration
thereof be referred till To Morrow Morning.
On reading the second Time the Message brought in by Benedict
Calvert, Esq Ordered, That W. Murdock, T. Johnson, J. Hall,
of Annapolis, and Thomas Ringgold, Esq.rs be appointed Conferrees
to join those Gentlemen mentioned in the said Message.
T. Johnson, Esq brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, the fol-
lowing Message, Viz.t
By the Lower House of Assembly, Nov.r 19, 1766.
May it please your Honours,
This House hath named William Murdock, Thomas Johnson,
John Hall, and Thomas Ringgold, Esq.rs to confer with the
Members appointed by your House, in your Message of this Day,
by Benedict Calvert, Esq
Signed per Order, MMacnemara, Cl. Lo. Ho.

Which was sent to the Upper House, by M.r Edmondson, and
M.r Allen.
On Motion of T. Johnson, Esq Leave is given to bring in a Bill
for the Speedy Foreclosure of Mortgages
Ordered, That T. Johnson, T. Ringgold, and S. Chase, Esq.rs
do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.
On Motion, the Petition of the Merchants of Baltimore Town,
is referred for an Hearing on the Morrow.
The Order of Yesterday is enlarged, and Time given until the
Morrow, to bring in new Business.
The Conferrees appointed by this House, withdrew, to join in a
Conference with the Conferrees appointed by the Upper House.
On Motion, That a Message be prepared to his Excellency, the
Governor, and to the Upper House, requesting that they will join
this House in an Address to his Majesty;
