The Petition of the Vestry and Church Wardens of Chester
Parish, in Kent County, and sundry other Inhabitants of the said
County, was read the second Time, and Leave given to bring in a
Bill according to Prayer, with Leave to add a Clause directing and
impowering the Vestry of Saint Paul's Parish, to pay to the Order
of the Vestry of Chester Parish, what of the Savings of that
Parish, to November, 1765, is in their Hands, and give an Order on
the Sheriff of Kent County, to pay to the said Vestry of Chester
Parish, or their Order, what of the Savings is in his Hands, towards
the Building of the said Chester Parish Church; agreeable to the
Intention of the Act of Assembly, entitled, An Act for erecting a
new Parish in Kent County, called Chester Parish, and for building
a Parish Church, and enlarging a Chapel of Ease within the said
new Parish:
Ordered, That T. Ringgold, Esq and Col: Lloyd, do prepare
and bring in a Bill accordingly
On Motion of Cal.o Tilghman, Leave is given to bring in a Sup-
plementary Bill to the Act, for amending the Staple of Tobacco &a
Ordered, That J. Hollyday, J. Hammond, T. Ringgold, T. John-
son, Esq.rs and M.r Grahame do prepare and bring in such Bill
Col. Tilghman brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, the Sup-
plementary Bill to the Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco,
which was read the first Time.
On Reading the second Time, the Bill, entitled, An Act continu-
ing an Act, entitled, An Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco
&a The Question was put, That the said Bill do pass? Resolved in
the Affirmative.
