On Motion of J. Hollyday, Esq Leave is given to bring in a
Bill to aid defective Common Recoveries
Ordered, That J. Hollyday, J. Hall, T. Ringgold, S. Wilson, and
J. Hammond. Esq.rs Col. Tilghman. and M.r Allen, do prepare and
bring in a Bill accordingly

On Motion of S. Wilson, Esq Leave is given to bring in a Bill
to ease the inhabitants of this Province, and to impower the Justices
of the several Counties to bind out the Persons therein mentioned
Ordered, That S. Wilson, and J. Hollyday Esq.rs and Col.o Tilgh-
man do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly
On Motion of J. Hall, Esq Leave is given to bring in a Bill for
the speedy Publication of the Laws of this Province, and for the
Encouragement of Jonas Green of the City of Annapolis Printer
Ordered, That J Hall, J Hollyday, and J Hammond Esq.rs do
prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly
Richard Lee, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.r Speaker
a petition of Edward Beall, of Frederick County: And a Petition
of Ann Gaither, of the City of Annapolis, severally Indorsed, "By
the Upper House of Assembly: Referred to the Consideration of the
Lower House.
On Motion, Resolved, Nemine Contradicente, That the House will
take into Consideration the Want of a Specie, or a Medium of Com-
merce in this Province, and the most effectual Means of procuring a
Passage of the Journal. The Question was put, Whether the Con-
sideration on the aforesaid Resolve, be on the Morrow Morning,

or at a future Time? Resolve, That the same be on the Morrow
Morning.

The House adjourns till the Morrow Morning at Nine of the
Clock

The House met.
The Governor communicated to M.r Speaker the following Mes-
sage, Viz.t

Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly
Be pleased to accept my Thanks for your very polite Address.
The Sentiments you therein express of Loyalty and Gratitude to
our most Gracious Sovereign, and of Respect to the Parliament,
give me great Pleasure; while your Assurances make me entertain
the most sanguine Hopes that uninterrupted Harmony will subsist
between the several Branches of the Legislature during the Course
of this Session, and that its Issue will be answerable to all our
Expectations
