Daniel Wolstenholme, Esq appeared in the House.

Ordered, That George Plater, Esq and Mr Key, do go with that
Gentleman to the Upper House to see him take the Oath of Abjura-
tion prescribed by the Act of Parliament made last Session, They
return and acquaint M.r Speaker, that Gentleman did take the Oath
aforesaid and subscribed the same

The Order of the Day being read, the House took into Considera-
tion the Want of a Specie, or a Medium of Commerce in this Prov-
ince, and the most effectual Means of procuring a Passage of the
Journal, and after some Time spent in Debates thereon, the House
referred the further Consideration thereof until Wednesday next
being the 12.th Instant

Ordered, That the Committee of Accounts do not receive any
Claims against the Public, after next Tuesday, being the 11.th Instant.

Henry Hollyday, Esq.r brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, a
Bill, entitled, An Act for regulating Innholders and Ordinary
Keepers within this Province: Which was read the first Time &
ordered to lie on the Table.
M.r Allen brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker, A Bill, entitled,
An Act, to repeal an Act, entitled, An Act for the Benefit of the
Poor, and Encouragement of Industry.

A Bill entitled, An Act, to repeal An Act, entitled, An Act to pre-
vent the Mischiefs arising from the Multiplicity of useless Dogs
and other Purposes therein mentioned.

And a Bill, entitled, An Act to repeal Part of an Act, entitled, An
Act for destroying Crows and Squirrels in particular Counties, and
of red Foxes in Kent and Queen Anne's Counties; so far as the
same extends to Somerset and Worcester Counties

Which Bills were severally read the first Time, and Ordered to
lie on the Table.

The House adjourns till 2 of the Clock

Post Meridiem.
The House met.

M.r Hanson brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, a Bill, entitled,
An Act for licensing Hawkers and Pedlars, which was read the
first Time and Ordered to lie on the Table.

The House adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 9 of the Clock
