Ordered, That M.r Baker, M.r Parran, and Capt. Ware, do go to
the Upper House with that Gentleman, to see him qualified. They
return, and acquaint M.r Speaker, they saw that Gentleman qualified,
by taking the Oath prescribed by Law, repeating and signing the
Test.
The Gentleman took his Seat in the House.
Ordered, That M.r Baker, M.r Parran, and Capt Ware, do go
with George Plater Esq and M.r Ward, to the Upper House, to see
them take the Oath of Abjuration, prescribed by the Act of Parlia-
ment made last Session. They return, and acquaint M.r Speaker,
that those Gentlemen did take the Oath aforesaid and subscribed
the same.

Daniel Dulany, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.r
Speaker, a Petition of the Magistrates of Frederick County Court
praying an Act of Assembly to repair the Prison of said County
and to build a Stone Wall to make a Yard round the Prison and
to build an House for the Goaler and to assess and levy in the next
Levy thirty thousand Pounds of Tobacco for the Purposes afore-
said. And a Petition of the Vestry and Church Wardens of
Chester Parish in Kent County praying an Act of Assembly may
pass to appropriate about sixteen thousand Pounds of Tobacco,
to inclose the Church of said Parish, and to build a Vestry-House;
severally indorsed "By the Upper House of Assembly; Referred
to the Consideration of the Lower House."
Which Petitions were read here the first Time and ordered to
lie on the Table
The House adjourns till two of the Clock

The House met.

On Motion of M.r Jacob, Leave is given to bring in a Bill for
Preservation of the Breed of Fish

Ordered, That M.r Jacob, M.r Baker, M.r Tyler, M.r Plater, and
M.r J. Hale, do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.
The Report of the Committee appointed to report what Laws
will expire at the End of this Session, was read the second time, and
the House concurs therewith
Ordered, That J. Hall, and S. Wilson, Esq.rs and M.r Allen, do
prepare & bring in reviving Bills accordingly
On Motion of S. Wilson Esq Leave is given to bring in a Bill
to continue an Act, entitled, An Act for amending the Staple of
Tobacco, for preventing Frauds in his Majesty's Customs, and for
the Limitation of Officers Fees.
Ordered, That S. Wilson, Esq M.r Grahame, M.r Allen, T.
Ringgold, J. Hollyday, and J. Hall, Esq.rs do prepare and bring
in a Bill accordingly.
