Act to the Act Entituled An Act for the Direction of Sheriffs in their
Offices, and restraining their Ill Practices within this Province Read
the first and second time in the Lower House and will Pass
Read the first time in this House and Ordered to lye on the
Table Also the Engrossed Bill Entituled An Act impowering the
Justices of Frederick County to levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of
the said County a Quantity of Tobacco for building a Stone Wall
around the Public Prison of said County and for other Purposes
therein mentioned Read and assented to by the Lower House of
Assembly Read and assented to by this House and ordered to be
so Subscribed, The Paper Bill so Endorsed sent by John Ridout Esq..r

House and will Pass Read the first and second time by especial
Order in this House and will Pass Sent by Benedict Calvert Esq..r
A Bill by Mess.rs Wolstenholme and Henry Entituled An Act to
oblige, infected Ships and other Vessels coming into this Province
to perform Quarentine Read the first and second time in the Lower
House and will Pass Read the first and second time by an especial
Order in this House and will Pass, with the following Amendments
Sent by John Ridout Esq..r In the 8..th line of the first Page instead
of the Word "Twenty" insert Thirty, and in the 7.th line of the
second Page after the Word "recovered" Insert "with full Costs
of Suit"
Read the second time the Bill Entituled An Act of Gratitude to
the Right honourable William Pitt Earl of Chatham, and the Right
honourable Charles Pratt Lord Cambden, and will not Pass Sent
together with the following Message by Daniel Dulany Esq.r
By the Upper House of Assembly 5.th December 1766.
