Your Committee find that the Monies reported in November
Session 1765 and in several Preceeding Sessions, to be due from
the Several Sheriffs on the Act for the Encouragement of Jonas
Green passed in September Session 1756 and for Ordinary Licences,
are still unpaid, and that nothing has been received from the several
Officers and Collectors of the funds under the Act for granting a
Supply of £40,000 for his Majestys Service &c and who were re-
ported to be deficient in their Duties at Nov..r Session 1765 excepting
only £72: 16:6. from Thomas Prather Collector of Land Tax for
Frederick County which sum he hath paid in part of One whole
Years Land Tax for that County ending 29.th September 1763.
and your Committee have counted the said sum of £72: 16: 6. in
Bills of Credit and burnt the same
Your Committee find in the Office the Sundry Articles following
belonging to the Province Viz..t 7 Dozen of Ink Powder 3 1/2 Ream
of Writing Paper, 14 Bundles of Quills, 2 Iron Chests, 5 hair
Trunks, 1 Pair of And Irons and fire Tongs 1 large Ovall Table, I
Pine Square Table I Pine Writing Table 1 Pair of Money Scales
and weights 1 Pewter Ink Stand, 9 Leather bottomed Chairs 17
Books of Accounts belonging to the Office 71 Books of Bills of
Credit unsigned 14 Boxes of Wafers and Six Sand Boxes All
which is Submitted to the Consideration of both Houses of As-
sembly this 26.th day of November 1766.

Relief of Insolvent Debtors Read the first and second time in the
Lower House and will Pass Read the first time in this House and
Ordered to lye on the Table

Read the second time the Bill Entituled An Act for the security
of Purchasers, and others being Protestants claiming by or from
Aliens And will Pass with the following Amendments Sent by
Benedict Calvert Esq..r

Leave out the Words "being Protestants" in the Title, and also
in the eighth line and in the fourteenth and fifteenth lines Leave out
the Words "a Protestant or Protestants and" in the 21st and in the
24.th Line Leave out the Words "Papist or Papists or" in the 28.th
Line and also in the 29.th Line
Adjourned until to Morrow Morning 10 of the Clock
