Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674. 571 Thomas Baker doth Covenant grant & agree for himself e his heires Liber E Execrs & Admrs with the sd Samuell Cressey his heires Execrs & Admrs that he the sd Samuell Cressey his heires Execrs & Admrs shall & may from time to time & at all times hereafter quietly & peaceably have, hold, use, occupy, possess & enjoy all & singular the premises hereby bargained & sold or intended to be bargained or sold without any lett, trouble, Eviction, Expulsion or Inter- ruption had, made, or done, or to be made or done, by the sd thomas Baker his heires Execrs or Admrs or any of them, And the Su thomas Baker doth for himselfe his heires Excers & Admrs further Covenant & agree, that hee the sd Thomas Baker his heires Execrs & Admrs the sd Land & premises with their rights, members & appurte- nances hereby sold or intended to be sold to him the sd Samuell Cressey his heires & Assignes to the use above menconed against him the Thomas Baker his heires Executrs Admrs or Assignes or any person or persons Claimeing by from or under them, or any of their, or by their or any of their Right, title, interest or procure- ment, shall & Will warrant & for ever defend by these presents, In Wittness whereof the parties abovenamed to these presents have interchangeably sett their hands & seales the day & yeare first above written. This Indenture the eighth day of Augt in the yeare of our Ld (1674) Betweene Thomas Allanson of Charles County Gentlm of the one party, & Gerrard Browne of the County aforesd planter of the other party, Wittnesseth, That the aforesd Thomas Allanson for severall good Causes & Consideracons him thereunto moveing, but more especially for & in Consideracon of a certaine sume of Tobacco to him in hand paid before the Ensealeing & Delivery hereof, the receipt whereof the sd Thomas doth acknowledge, & himselfe there- with fully satisfied & Contented & of every part & parcell thereof doth clearely acquit Exonerate & discharge the sd Gerrard Browne his heires Execrs & Admrs & every of them by these presents for ever, Hath Given, granted, bargained, aliened, sold, Assigned, trans- ferred, enfeoffed & Confirmed, & by these presents doth give, grant, bargaine, aliene, sell, Assigne, transferre, enifeoffee & Confirme unto the sd Gerrard Browne his heires & Assignes for ever all that parcell of Land lieing Scituate, & being in Charles County on the south side of Mattawoman or St Thomas Creeke in Christian Temple Mannr: Begining at a bounded oake the bound tree of Christian Temple Mannr ruñing south & by west three hundred pearches to a Spanish oake bounded with Six notches standing on the top of a |
