558 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674.

         Liber E    John Cane, on the South by a line drawne West from the ende of the
               former lyne, to the land of John Hatch aforesd, on the West with
               the sd land, on the North with the sd Creeke & the first East lyne
               conteyninge & now laide out for One hundred & fifty acres more or
               lesse, with all & singular the howses buildings pastures feedinges
               wayes woods underwood pfitts comodities & appurtenances the sd
               prmisses or any pte or pcell thereof belonginge or in any wise
               apperteyninge To have & to hold the aforesd Land & all & singulr
               the pmisses before granted bargained & Sold with their & evy of
               their Rights members & appurtenances wtsoev unto the sd John Helme
               his heires & ass forever from him the sd John Munn his heires
               executrs & admrs And the sd John Mun doth for himselfe his heires
               executrs & admrs Covenante pmise & grante to & with the sd John
               Helme his heires executrs admrs & ass that the pmises now are &
               forever after shall be continue free & cleare & freely and clearely
               acquitted exonerated & discharged of & from all & singular former
               & othr bargaines Sales guifts grantes Leases rentes arrearages of
               Rent, rentcharges Mortgages Dowers Joyntures Clames demands &
               incumbrances whatsoev agst him them or any of them had done or
               Comitted or to be had done & comitted And the said John Mun for
               himselfe his heires executrs & admrs the aforesd pee!! of Land &
               all & singular othr the pmisses before granted bargained & Sold
               Wth the appurteñces unto the sd John He!me his heires & ass for
               ever agst the sd John Mun his heires executrs & admrs & against
               all & evy of them lawfully claymeinge from by or under him or them
               or any of them shall & will warrant & forever defend by theise
               pntes And the sd John Mun for him selfe his heires executrs &
               admrs doth Covenant pmise & grante to & wth the sd John Helme his
               heires & ass & evy of them shall & may by force & virtue of theise
               pntes lawfully peaceably & quietly have holde occupie posses &
               enjoy the sd land & all & singulr the pmisses before granted bar-
               gained & sold with their & evy of their appurtenances rights &
               members And have & receive & take Rentes Ishus & pfitts thereof to
               his & their owne pper use & behoofe without any manner lett trouble
               Eviccon or interrupcon of or by the sd John Mun his heires executrs
               admrs & ass or any of them the rents Sarvices which from henceforth
               from tyme to tyme & at all tymes for ev hereafter shall grow due &
               payable to the Cheife Lord or Lords of the Fee or Fees thereof,
               for or in respect for or in respect of their Seignoris or Seignorues
               only excepted & foreprized In witnes hereof the pties aforegd to
               theise Indentures interchangeably have putt thr hands & Seales the
