                John Grubb doth acknowledge this ensueing Conveyance of Land
               in open Court unto George Holmes
                This Indenture made the eleventh day of June in the fortieth
               yeare of the Dominion of Caecilius Annoq Dmi 1672 Betweene John
               Grubb of Charles County in the Province of Maryland of the one
               part and George Holmes of the County aforsaid of the other part
               Witnesseth that the said John Grubb for and in Consideracon of a cer-
               tame Sume of tobacco to him the said Grubb before the ensealeing
               and delivery of these prsents by the said George Holmes well and
               truely paid, the receipt whereof the Said John Grubb doeth hereby
               acknowledge & himselfe therewth fully Satisfied & contented and of
               every part & parcell thereof doeth clearely accquitt exonerat and dis-
               charge the Said George Holmes and his heyres Executors & Ad-
               ministrators & every of them by these prsents hath given granted
               Bargaind aliend assigned transferred enfeofeed & confirmed, and by
               these prsents doeth give grant Bargaine alien assigne transferr en-
               feofee & confirm all tht parcell or Tract of Land lyeing Scituate and
               being in Charles County aforesd called Ventico Begining at a bounded
               white oke Standing on the West Side of Wiccocomaco runn in the
               Swamp runing South and by east one hundred pches to a bounded
               whyte oke thence East South East eighty pches to a Bounded Pickick-
               ory thence North & by west one hundred pches to a Bounded oke
               thence untill it come to the first Bound tree conteyneing and now laid
               out for fifty Acres more or less Together wth all houses Orchards
               Gardens Hawkings Huntings fishings fowleings and all other ap-
               purtenances and priveledges unto the said Land belonging, To Have
               & To Hold the said parcell of Land & prmisses Wth theyre & every of
               theyre Rights Membrs & appurtenances or priveledges before by these
               prsents Bargained & Sold or hereby intended to be hereby Bargaind
               & Sold together wth all the priveledges before bargained & Sold to
               him the said George Holmes his heyres & assignes for ever, And the
               Said John Grubb doth for himselfe his heyres Executrs & Adminis-
               tratrs doth Covenant promise to & Wth the Sd George Holmes his heyres
