Luke Greene acknowledgeth this deed of land called the Batchel-
lors Agreemt
This Indenture made the tenth day of January in the yeare of Or
Lord one thousand six hundred & seventy betwixt Luke Greene of
Charles County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part
And Richard Midgely & Rice Waineman of the same County Plantrs
of the other part, Witnesseth, That the sd Luke Greene as well for &
in consideracon of the Sume of two thousand pounds of tob & caske
to him in hand the Richard Midgely & Price Waineman payd the
receipt whereof The sd Luke Greene doth hereby acknowledge &
himself e therewth to be fully satisfyed contented & payd, as aliso
for divers other good causes and consideracons him thereunto move-
ing hath bargained sold aliened enfeofeed assigned and sett over and
by these prsents doth fully clearely and absolutely bargaine sell alien
enfeof assigne & sett over unto the said Richard Midgely & Rice
Waineman theyre heyres & Assigns forever all tht parcell or tract
of land caled chosen lyeing and being in the County aforesd begining
at the north north west bound tree of the land formerly laid out for
the sd Luke Greene and John Cable called the Batchellors agreemt
being a bounded red Oake runing thence Southwest one hundred
perches to a bounded pekickory thence Southeast one hundred and
sixty perches to a bounded red Oake thence untill it intersect a
parrallell line conteyneing one hundred acres more or lesse wth all
and singular the pastures feedeings wayes water courses woodes
undr woodes pfitts comodetyes and appurtenances to the sd pmisses
or any part or parcell thereof belonging or anywise appurtaineing
And allso all the rights Estate title intrest use ppty possession claime [fol. 6]
and demand of him the sd Luke Greene of and in the same together
wth all deeds evidences manuscripts or papers touching or concerning
the same or any part or parcell thereof To Have and Hold the aforesd
parcell of land and all and singular the pmisses before granted &
sold wth theyre and every of theyre rights members and appurte-
nances wtsoever unto the sd Richard Midgely and Rice Waineman
