266 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1668—1670.
Liber D or which he the said Isaack now hath or which he or she may or
ought hereafter to have in or to all & singular the Mannors lands
tene& & hereditamts in Charls County or St Marys County or elce
[p. 18] where wthin this Province of Maryland wch were the Mannors lands
Tenemts & hereditamts of the sd Simon Overzee deed have demised
granted & to farme lett all tht the Moyety of a free hould bought
of Will Lewis in Charis County by Jobe Chandler Esqr and Simon
Overzee decd the moiety Cont by estimation since the Partition be-
tweene the sd Chandler & Overzee one thousand Acres To have &
to hold the same to him the said Isaack Allerton his Executors &
Administrs to the full end & terme of twenty & one years from the
[p. 19] day of the date hereof fully To be Compleated & ended Yeelding &
paying therefore yearely unto us & our heirs att our receipt att St
Maries att the two most usuall feasts in the yeare (vizt) att the feast
of the Annuntiacon of the blessed Virgine Mary & att the feast of St
Michaell the Arch Angle by even & equall proportions the rent of
one pound sterling or the full Vallue thereof in such Coiñodities as
we & our heirs or such officer or officers appointed by us or our
heirs from time to time to collect & receive the same shall accept in
[p. 21]* Discharge thereof Att the choise of us & our heirs or such Officer or
Officers as afore said Provided alwaies tht he the said Isaack Aller-
ton doe by the five and twentyeth of March next ensueing the date
hereof sufficiently plant and fence one orchard cont: two hundred
apple & peare trees upon tht the moiety of the Free hould bought
of Lewis & lying in Charls County aforesaid & the same during the
whole terme of one & twenty yeares aforesd sufficiently keep fenced
Provided alsoe tht the sd Isaack Allerton doe sometime before the
[p. 22] twenty fifth Day of December next give sufficient security the same
Orchard soe fenced & planted as aforesaid together with all houses
Edifices buildings barnes & Stables whatsoever by him to be built
upon the prmises in sufficient repaire & to leave att the end & expira-
tion aforesaid Given att St Maries under our great seale of our sd
Province of Maryland this day of Januar in the two & thirtieth
yeare of our Dominion over our sd Province Anno Domi 1663
Witness our Deare sone & heir Charls Calvert Esqr Leivetent of our
sd Province of Maryland Charles Calvert
[p. 231 Isaack Allerton of the County of Northumbrland Gentl doth
assinge all his right title & Interest in the preceeding Lease to
Edmd Lynsy
Know all men by these prsnts tht I Isaack Allerton of the County
of Northumberland in Virgenia Gentl doe assinge & sett over unto
Edmund Lynsy of Port tobacco in the Province of Maryland all
my right title & Interest unto the wthin specified Lease granted me
by the right Honbl Caecilius Lord Baron of Baltemore To have &
