Liber D now free and Cleare of all Incumbrances whatsoever And tht I
the sd Walter Pake my heires Executrs and Adminrs shall and Will
upon the Reasonable Motion of the said Henry Make such Con-
veyance and Conveyances for the further Assurance of the same
as the sd Henryes Councel in the Law shall advise or thinke fitt In
Witnes whereof I the sd Walter Pake have hereunto put my hand

[p. 14] Know all Men by these presents That I Hugh Thomas of Charles
County in the Province of Maryland planter As well for and in Con-
sideration of the Quantity of three thousand five hundred pounds
of tobaccoe and Caske in hand paid before the Enscaling and De-
livery hereof by Thomas Lomax of St Maries County in the said
province Merchant whereof and whercwth the said Hugh Thomas
doth acknowledge himselfe Satisfied Contented, and Paid and
thereof and of every part and parcell thereof Doth Acquitt and
Discharge the said Thomas Lomax his heires Executrs Adminrs
and every of them by these presents as allsoe for Diverse other
good Causes and Considerations him thereunto Moving Have
graunted Bargained, sold Assigned Set over and Confirmed and
by these presents doe fully Clearely and Absolutely Graunt Bar-
game Sell assigne Set over and Confirme unto the sd Thomas
Lomax his heires Executors Adminrs and assignes one Moyitie
or half e part of one parcell or Tract of Land Lycing Scituate and
being in Charles County aforesaid on the West side of the Maine
fresh at the head of Wiccocomico River Called the Rich Hill
Beginning at a Bounded oake Standing by the Runne side, & Run-
ning West for breadth the Length of three hundred pearches to a
Bounded oake Standing on the high grounds Bounding on the
West with a Line drawn North from the said oake for the Length
of three hundred and twenty pearches to a Bounded oakc the
North wth a Line Drawn East from the former line to a Marked
oake Standing by the side of the Runne on the East wth the fresh
runne, on the South the aforesd West Line Containing and Laid
out for Sixe hundred acres more or Lesse All and Singular which
said Moyitie or halfe part of the Sixc hundred acres of Land
aforesd together all and Singular the Rights, proffits, and Bene-
fits thercunto Belonging according to a Pattent Graunted unto him
the sd Hugh Thomas and his heircs for the aforesd Sixe hundred
acres Dated the Nineteenth Day of Aprill in the foure and thirtieth
yeare of the Dominion of Caecilius &c. Annoq Dni 1666 under the
great Seale of this Province To Have and to Hold the sd Moyitie
