Authorized and required at the laying their County Levy in Novem-
ber Court Seventeen hundred and Sixty Six and so in November
Court yearly untill the year Seventeen hundred and Sixty eight
inclusive to Assess, and Levy by three equal assessments on the
Taxable Inhabitants of Saint Andrews Parish in the said County a
Quantity of Tobacco not exceeding two hundred Thousand pounds
of Tobacco, in the whole three Assessments Clear of the Sheriffs
Salary of five per Cent for collecting the same which said sum of
two hundred Thousand pounds of Tobacco the said Sheriff is hereby
Authorised and required to Collect and receive accordingly; and
when so collected and received to pay the same to the Order of the
Vestrymen and Church Wardens of the said Saint Andrews Parish
for the time being to be by them applyed to the finishing and com-
pleating a Parish Church for the Use of the said Parishioners and to
no other use or purpose whatsoever.

And whereas the place where the Church now stands is incon-
venient in its situation to many of the Parishioners who are desirous
to have the Same Built, as near the Center of the said Parish as
Can be judged. Be it further Enacted by the Authority aforesaid,
That the Rector Vestrymen and Church Wardens or the major part
of them of the said Parish are hereby authorised and impowered to
purchase out of the Tobacco hereby granted two acres of Land which
they shall judge the most convenient place in the said Parish for
erecting and building the said Church upon, and which two Acres
when purchased shall be and remain to and for the Use of the Parish
aforesaid for ever.

and Levy on the taxable Inhabitants of All Faith's Parish a Quan-
tity of Tobacco and for other Purposes therein mentioned.

Whereas it is represented to this general assembly by a Petition
from the Vestrymen and Protestant Inhabitants of the Parish of All
Faiths in Saint Mary's County that the Church of the said Parish
is utterly decayed and that the Inhabitants of the said Parish are in
want of a new Church and also a Chapel of Ease and have by their
petition prayed that a quantity of Tobacco not exceeding one hun-
dred and twenty Thousand may be assessed and levied on the Taxable
Inhabitants of the said Parish at not less than three equal assess-
ments and Collections for the Purpose of Building and erecting a new
