to the Upper and Lower houses of Assembly
The petition of michal Risoner Humbly Sheweth
That your petitioner has Been for three year and fore Months a
Languishing prisoner in the goal of Fredrick County for Debt for
divers Sums of Money and tobacco which Said Debt by Reason
of Divers Losses and misfortunes he was before his Confinement
Unable to pay & his still Confinement must apparently Render him
Less able yet notwithstanding your petitioner has By the Dictates
of his Consciences made all the overtures to Satisfy his Creditors that
was in his power to Comply with Even to make over all his Estate
Boath Real & personall to them which they have Rejected and still
Do Reject your petitioner has been Gilty of no fradulent or Deceet-
full practices in order to Cheat or defraud his Creditors And Humbly
prays your Excellency and Honours will take your petitioners melen-
choly Situation into your Serious and Charitable Consideration and
Grant him Relief and your petitioner Shall Ever pray
Fredrick County the 20 :th Day of June 1761
We the Subscribers of Said County do Certify that the above
petitioner Michel Risoner is and hath been a prisoner for Debt for
the time above mentioned in the goal of this County and therefore
Recommend him to your Excellency and Honours as an object of
Charity
