To his Excellency Horatio Sharpe Esq.r Governor of Maryland and
the Honourable The Uper and Lower Houses of Assembly

The Petition of the Rector & Vestrymen of William and Mary
Parish in S.t Mary's County most humbly Sheweth

That by an Act of Assembly for the division of St Mary's County
into four Parishes it was enacted that upon the Death of the Rev.d
M.r Lawrence Debutts, the Parish of William & Mary shou'd be
divided & a Part thereof be annexed to All faith Parish at the Death
of the Rev.d John Urquhart Incumbant thereof, upon the death of
the Rev.d M.r Debutts which happined in the Year Seventeen Hun-
dred & fifty Two the Parish of William and Mary was Accordingly
Divided, but as That Part thereof that was to belong to Allfaith
Parish, was not to Be annexed thereto until the Death of the Present
Incumbant of That Parish, it has not been Accounted part of any
Parish since that time The Sheriff haveing Yearly collected the Thirty
p Poll from the Inhabitants thereof without Accounting to any
Person for the same, it was Also enacted by an Act for Divideing
the Parishes in S.t Mary's County that a Part of Allfaith Parish
shou'd be annexed to William and Mary Parish on the death of the
Rev.d M.r John Urquhart. Your Petitioners Therefore hope that it
will appear reasonable to the Honourable Assembly that our Parish
(of William & Mary) be Presently Compleated by annexing thereto
that Part of Allfaith Parish which will become part thereof at the
death of the Rev.d John Urquhart, and an equal Number of those
Taxables (who at Present are not in any Parish) be imediately an-
nexed to Allfaith Parish to which they will belong at the present
Incumbant Death Wherefore Your Petitioners most humbly pray
that an Act may Pass for that Purpose, as the Number of Taxables
