[EDITOR'S NOTE. — The recording clerk has been guilty of a confusing error in
designating both the first and second acts as "No. i", thus also numbering incorrectly
all the acts which follow. This same error has been made in the case of the acts for
both the years 1762 and 1763. The editor has allowed the clerk's incorrect numera-
tion in Arabic figures to remain, but has added in bracketed italicised Roman figures
the correct numbers of the acts. The matter is further discussed on page lxxviii.]

Whereas some of the Attorneys Practicing the Law in the said
Court are Members of the Assembly and Obliged to Attend their
Duty therein
Be it therefore enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Pro-
prietary by and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordships
Governor and the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly and the
Authority of the same That all Causes, Pleas, Process and Proceed-
ings either Civil or Criminal now depending in or Returnable to the
said County Court to be held the first Tuesday of November in this
present Year shall be and are by Virtue of this Act Adjourned and
Continued from the said first Tuesday of November untill the fifth
Tuesday in the same Month and shall be in the same plight and Con-
dition as they wou'd be on the said first Tuesday in November any
law Usage or Custom to the Contrary Notwithstanding
