394 Assembly Proceedings, October 4-November 26, 1763.

L. H. J.
Liber No. 52
Nov. 23

cially as Several of our Members were by Sickness rendered unable
to attend & therefore made the Reference of which we advised you,
as the practice of which you affect to Complain is of so Long Standing
that we believe none of the Gentlemen who are at present Members
of either Houses remember when it was introduced, and is in our
Opinion founded on reason, you must not be Surprised at our taking
the Liberty to Continue it, but if for the Reasons mentioned in your
Message or any other you are desirous to have the Bill in question
published we shall not Object thereto and will direct our Clerk to
deliver yours a Copy of the Bill for that purpose in Case you shall
think fit to Order him to Apply for it.

Signed p Order. J. Ross Cl. Up. Ho

B. Calvert. Esq,r from the Upper house delivers to Mr Speaker the

The fate of the Bill we this Morning returned to you making it
necessary that many Additions be made to the Journal of Accounts

Send you Back the Journal for that purpose Should you resolve
after Such Additions have been made to let us have it again this
Session We hope you will Send it up as soon as possible that we may
have time to examine it for as we perceive you have not made the

ever insist on) we are apprehensive some other just Claims have been
disregarded, & therefore shall not pass it without a Careful Examina-
tion; Should you think it rather too late in the Session to make the
necessary Additions to the Journal at present you will we hope enter
