The house met according to Adjournment &c.a
Mr B. Mackall has leave of Absence
On Motion of Col.o Cresap, Ordered, that Col.o Tilghman, M.r J.
Tilghman and Mr Bealle, be added to the Committee of Grievances &
Courts of Justice.
The Order of the day being read, the Report of further amend-
ments to the Inspection Law, was read the 2.d time, and the house
concurs therewith.
Ordered, that M.r J. Tilghman M.r J. Hall, Mr Johnson, Col.o
Tilghman Mr Murdock, Mr Ringgold, & M.r Hayward, be a Com-
mittee to prepare a Message to the upper house, to acquaint them
with what amendments and Alterations this house hath agreed should
be made to the Inspection Law, and with what they can Concur
On Motion, Ordered, that Mr Sulivane be added to the Committee
of Accounts

On Motion of Mr Harris, Ordered, that Mr Goldsborough be added
to the Committee of Elections & privileges.
M.r Key and M.r Worthington have leave of Absence.
The house Adjourns till 2. of the Clock

The house met according to Adjournment &c.a
On Motion of Col.o Tilghman, leave given to bring in a Bill to
restrain the Evil practice of continuing Suits at Law on Suggestion,
&c.a Ordered that Col.o Tilghman, Mr Hanson & Mr Murdock, do
prepare and bring in a bill accordingly.
Stephen Bordley Esq.r from the Upper house, delivers to Mr
Speaker, a petition of John Stone Hawkins, Ind.d By the Upper
house of Assembly 22,d Oct.r 1763, Read and Referred to the con-
sideration of the Lower House of Assembly; which was read here
the first time, & Ordered to lye on the Table.
A petition of Many Inhabitants of Somerset County was Read
the first time, & Ordered to lye on the Table.
The petition of Draper Lusby, and ffrances his Wife, Ex.th of the
last will and testament of John Hynson, late of Kent Cot.y deceased,
and Mathew Bryan of Queen Anns County, was Read the 2.d time, &
thereupon Ordered, that Mr Hanson, Mr Dulany and Mr Allen, be a
