for such Tobacco to be given to the Old Inspector the one of which
to be by him lodged with the Clerk of the County in the County
Court Office.
The new Inspectors Answerable to the Owner so far as to produce
the hogsheads mentioned in the list but no farther, and only to the
Old Inspector for any Damages to the Tobacco for Negligence in
his time.
Sect 38, Add to the Skippers Oath, that he will not wilfully damage
or Suffer to be damaged any such Tobacco; lay a penalty on the
Inspectors that do not tender the Oath
Add a Clause that no Captain of a Vessel taking freight shall
Transport any freight Tobacco from the Warehouses on Board any
Ship or other Vessel in open Boats or Vessels without good & Suffi-
cient Covering under the penalty of £10, for every Offence. Sect 51,
make the Weights 1500.
The people of ffrederick County above Connegochiague from the
inconvenient Situation of Justices of the peace in that County be
allowed to make Oath that they made no Tobacco, before either a
Justice of the peace, the Sheriff of the County or any of his Deputys.
the Certificate to be Signed by the person making the Oath as well
as the person before whom it was made and the Sheriff or his Deputy
to whom the Certificate is delivered to give a Receipt for it

Sect 71. After the word Warehouses add purchase of Tobacco
Hogsheads.

That Kings Town and Parsons Landing Warehouses in Talbot
County be under Seperate Inspection and one Inspector each and their
Sallaries reduced to thirty five pounds each

That Falkoners House in Kent County shall be Suppressed, that
ffrederick Town and George Town be put under one Inspection, by
two Inspectors one from Caecil County & one from Kent County
to be Obliged to attend three days in the Week at one house & three
days at the Other, their Salary's to be forty five pounds each

That the Inspectors in sale of Transfer Tobacco shall Set it up to
Sale in Single Hogsheads and allow the Owners the Average price
the Sale to be the 2.d day of the Court, if fair weather, if not, the
next fair day of the Court.

Sect 123. That the Justices and Representatives residing in the
Counties and Inspectors of each County to meet at the Court house
under the penalty of five Pounds each, unless a Sufficient excuse, on
the Second Tuesday of December yearly if fair Weather if not on the
next fair day and a Majority of the Justices and Representatives then
present shall agree what necessary repairs, additions and Con-
veniencies directed by the Act are wanting at each Warehouse and
