The humble Address of the House of Delegates.
May it please your Excellency.
This house have Sent to the Upper house a Bill which we hope
will fully Answer the Intentions of Sir Jeffrey Amherst expressed in
his Letter, which your Excellency was pleased to lay before this
house on Saturday Last.
Which was read and assented to and Signed by Order of the
house by the honble Speaker
The house adjourns till 2. of the Clock

The house met according to Adjournment &c.a
The bill Ent.d an Act for prohibiting all trade with the Indians for
the time therein mentioned was sent to the upper house by M.r J.
Tilghman and Mr Graham.
Ordered that Mr Edmunson and Mr Gray do acquaint his Excel-
lency the Governor that this house hath prepared an Address to be pre-
sented to him and desires to know when and where he will receive it.
they return & acquaint Mr Speaker that the Governor signified he
wou'd be ready to receive the Address in three quarters of an hour in
the Conference Chamber.
Ordered that Colo Tilghman & five more do present the Address.
The bill Ent.d a Supplementary Act to the Act Entd an Act for the
relief of Creditors and to prevent frauds and deceipts occasioned
by Secret Sales & Mortgages and gifts of goods and Chattels was
read the 2d time & will pass and was Sent to the Upper house by
Mr Hanson & Mr Allen.
The Bill Entd an Act for the Speedy recovery of small debts out of
Court before one Justice of the peace was read the second time &
will pass and was Sent to the Upper house by Mr Johnson & Mr
Waters.
