Your Committee begg leave to observe that in the Above Ballance
is included the £2121,, Appropriated for the payment of Indian Scalps
and Prisoners, Your Committee find by An Account from the
Trustees in London Dated 29.th of Ap:l 1762, that there was then
Capital Bank Stock belonging to the Province £35,500,, which cost
£44,495...12...6 and that there was a Ballance over, not invested of
£230.. 7.. 2 Since which the Trustees have sent no Account Your
Committee have Inspected the Returns and payments of the Several
Officers and Collectors of the Funds under the aforementioned Act,
and find the following deficient in their Duty, Viz.th

The Sheriff of S.t Mary's County for the Batchelors Tax in 1763,
and the Collector of Excize of Said County, for One Year Excize
due the 29.th of Sept.r 1763, and the Clerk of Said County has made
no Payments Since Feb.y 25.th 1762

The Collector of Excize for Kent County has rendered no Account,
nor paid any Excize from March 25th 1759. to Nov.r in that Year,
nor Wheele Carriages for 1757, and the Sheriff of that County owes

a Ballance of £32.. 8-44 for Ordinary Licences in 1761. and One
pound thirteen Shillings and three pence for Ordinary Licences in
1762 — The Collector of the Land Tax for Ann Arundel County
hath not paid the Land Tax from Sept.r 29th. 1761 to 25th March
1763, nor the Sheriff the Batchelors Tax for 1762 and the Collector
of the Excize for the same County from 29th Sept.r 1761 to June
1763 — The Sheriff of Calvert County has not accounted for the
Batchelors Tax in 1759, And the Collector of Excize of Same County
has not paid the half Years Excize due 29th September 1763 — The
Sheriff of Prince Georges County has not paid the Batchelors Tax
for 1762. And the Collector of the Land Tax of said County is
indebted for half Years Land Tax ending 29th September 1762,
Nor have they or the Collector of Excize of that County accounted
for any Duties and Taxes of the Present Year,

The Sheriff of Charles County Owes £35.9.4 on Account of
Ordinary Licences 1762. — The Collector of Excize of Queen Anns
County has not accounted nor paid between 12.th Ap.l 1762. and
29th Sept.r 1763.
