Your Committee find on enquireing into the Ballance of £96..6..3
Reported last session to be due from John Cook late Sheriff of Prince
Georges County, that the Committee in the Year 1756 made a mistake
in saying there was due from the said Cook £ 47..5..8| for Ordinary
Licences in 1753. as that Sum appears to have been included in the
said Ballance of £96..6..2 which mistake being rectified, and the said
John Cook making it appear to your Committee, that part of the
Ordinary Licences charged to him in the year 1746, and before they
were required by Law to be paid down, was not received by him, but
putt into the Hands of William Mauduit the Succeeding Sheriff to
collect, and that there were other errors in the list of Ordinary
Licences returned that Year, by double charges and otherways for
his Prejudice to the amount of £19..8..7 3/4 and that there is really due
from the said John Cook no more than £29..11..10 1/2

Your Committee having during the Present Session counted and
Burnt the Sum of £10,573..16..6 Part of the Money received in
Virtue of the Act for granting a Supply of Forty Thousand pounds
for His Majesty's Service, and Striking Thirty four Thousand &
fifteen Pounds Six Shillings thereof in Bills of Credit and raising
a fund for Sinking the Same which they have placed to the Credit of
Iron Chest N.^o 2. as per following State thereof compared with the
Day Books and Several Vouches from which the said Account is
raised and closed to the 22^d Day of November 1767, will appear
