ensuing Years, the aforesaid Quantity of One Hundred and Thirty
Thousand Pounds of Tobacco, together with a Salary to the Sheriff
of the said County for collecting the same of Five per Centum; and
the said Sheriff is hereby directed and impowered to collect, account
for, and pay the same, to the said Vestry-men and Church-wardens,
in the same Manner as other Tobacco Levies are collected, accounted
for, and paid; to be applied by the said Vestry-men and Church-
wardens, or the Majority of them, to the building and compleatly
finishing the said new Church, and to no other Purpose whatsoever.

An Act for the Naturalization of Colonel Henry Bouquet and
Frederick Victor

[Private
act.]

Whereas Lieutenant Colonel Henry Bouquet whom our most
gracious Sovereign hath by his Commission been pleased to appoint
an Officer in his Majesty's Sixtyeth or Royal American Regiment
and Frederick Victor of the City of Annapolis Gentleman being
both of them Foreigners of the Protestant or Reformed Religion
have by their several Petitions to this General Assembly expressed
their earnest desire to be made partakers of the Immunities and
Priviledges which his Majestys Natural born Subjects of this Prov-
ince are entituled to and enjoy and have also made it appear to the
Satisfaction of this Assembly that they have respectively taken the
several Oaths to the Government.

Be it Enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary by
and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor and
the Upper and Lower Houses of the Assembly and the authority
of the Same That the said Henry Bouquet and Frederick Victor
shall and they are hereby declared And Adjudged able to all Intents
Constructions and Purposes whatsoever to demand take have retain
and enjoy any Priviledges and Immunities belonging to or enjoyed

by his Majesty's Liege People and Natural Subjects of this Prov-
ince and they the said Henry Bouquet and Frederick Victor are
hereby Qualified and enabled to Purchase have hold and enjoy any
Lands and Tenements or other Hereditaments within this Province
and to Prosecute maintain and defend any Action or Actions real
and Personal in any of his Lordship's Courts of Record of this
Province and to have hold and enjoy all the Priviledges and Free-
doms Whatsoever that any of his Majesty's Natural born Subjects
