as aforesaid remitted to and now remaining in the Hands of the
said William Hunt, and the said Petitioner hath therefore prayed
Relief in the Premisses :

Be it therefore Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord
Proprietary, by and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's
Governor, and the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and
the Authority of the same, That it shall and may be lawful to and
for the said James Hollyday, the Petitioner, and he is hereby
impowered to draw Bills on the said William Hunt, Merchant in
London, for the said Money remaining in the Hands of the said
William Hunt, whose Draughts for the same the said William
Hunt is hereby authorized and impowered to pay. Provided never-
theless, That the said Residue of the said Money, not yet accounted
for, shall remain subject to the like Application, Order and Controul,
as the same was originally subject to in the Hands of the aforesaid
James Hollyday, Esquire, the late Treasurer.

And be it further Enacted, That the said James Hollyday, the
Petitioner, shall, from Time to Time, render to the General Assembly
of this Province, an Account of the Money which he shall draw for
in Virtue of this Act, for their Approbation and Allowance. Pro-
vided always, and it is the true Intent and Meaning of this Act, that
the Securities given by the said James Hollyday, Esquire, the late
Treasurer, shall be and are hereby declared to be and stand always
liable to the Country for the due Performance, by the said James
Hollyday, the Petitioner, of all the Matters of him required by this
Act to be done, as they would have been for the Conduct of the
said James Hollyday, Esquire, the late Treasurer, had he been still
living; any Thing in this Act, or in any other Law or Statute, to
the contrary, in any wise, notwithstanding.

An Act to impower the Justices of Somerset and Worcester Coun-
ties, to Levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of Coventry Parish, partly
in Somerset and Worcester Counties, the Quantity of Sixty-two
Thousand Four Hundred Pounds of Tobacco, for the Uses therein
