Liber A Couenaunt to make prsent deliuie, unto mr Henery Carline, for the usse of mr Thomas Hawkines These Cattell hearein heareafter spessiffied that is to say flue Cowes, markt with my own marke, which is the Right Eare ouerkeeld, & the left Eare Cropt & under keeld The first of these flue Cowes Cald genttle; The second Cow Cald Cherrie; The third Cow Cald blacke nan The fourth Cow Cald nanssie; The fifth Cow Cald mopus; And three Cowes more with other markes as followeth; The first Cald Troublesome, her mark the Right Eare Cropt and a ho!!, the left Eare undr keeld and a ho!!, The second Cald frenchwoman Cropt on the Right Eare; The third Cow Cald merieloockes, Cropt & undrkeeld on both Eares, beeinge in all Eaight .Cowes; For and in Consideration of satis faction, alreadie in hand Receiued And I the said John Deare doe by these prsents Warrant the sail of the said Eaight Cowes, unto the afforesaid Thomas Hawkines his Heires Executors Administrators or Assignes that hee or they shall peaceably and quietly Enioy the sayd Eaight Cowes, with all theire Future increasse, without the let molestassion or hinderance, of mee the said John Deare, my Heires Executors Administrators or Assignes or any pson or psones what soeuer, And for Confirmation heareof I haue heareunto put my hand and seall, this 30th of June Ann° Domi 1656 Sealled Signed and deliüed John Deare in the prsents of us his marke Thomas T C Coll his marke Tho: Hill Clar At a Court houlden for sume pticuler Ocassions at the hous of mr Phillip Connier Comamande for the Countie July the 5th 1656 prsent mr Phillip Connier; Capt~ Jo: Weikes; nir Tho: Hinson; mr Hen Morgan; Capt~ Jno Russell Wheareas mr Henery Carline the first of May last past, was in Open Court sworne to pforme the Office of a sheriffe truly & faith fuly for sum prsent Ocassiones & not fully Establisht for want of securitie; hee pmissinge to bringe securitie, for his place, the next Court followinge, which was, the first of July last past, Securitie by him then tendered, but in such manner, as Could not with saftie bee accepted Securitie by the sd Carline this day tendered such as the Court was pieassed to accept The Court doth thearefore Order tht the sd Henery Carline shall act & Offissiat, in the place, & office of a sheriffe, For this Countie of Kent, accordinge to his Oath, and Charge giuen him, the first of May last past, beeinge the said first of May alsoe Chossen & Elected, & now upon his securitie by the Court accepted |
